COOK TWIST, AND MORE COOK-MOBIUS CROCHET?

Image
Cook Twist                A Cook Twist.  One side, one edge, one core-gap hole, but two effective holes!  A topoligical figure. All photos copywrite by author, Lucinda Cook. To see more photos, use the link above. The Mobicorikon, (a manual for crocheting symmetrical four-dimensional objects with the Cook-Mobius Method) has moved to a new place.  You can find, and listen to, my uncensored and continuing blog now by using the link above, Cook Twist. BEGINNER'S CROCHET 1. HOW TO: CHAIN, TURN AND STITCH ROW ZERO ON ONE SIDE OF THE CHAIN

Image
BEGINNER'S CROCHET HOW TO:  CHAIN AND STITCH ROW ZERO ON ONE SIDE OF THE CHAIN I recommend you use a 4mm or 5mm crochet hook and 2 or 3-ply yarn.   KNOTTED LOOP Knot a Fixed gap onto your hook CHAIN Chain your chain with Chain Stitch CHAIN STITCH YOU HAVE A KNOTTED LOOP ON THE HOOK 1. Wrap a bar of string around your hook and secure it under the hook tip 2.  Let the loop on the hook slide up the hook towards the tip 3.  Slide that loop on the hook over the hooked bar of string and off into the air.  You have a new loop on the hook. 4.  Slide the new loop down to the middle of your hook and relax. 2.  Let the loop-on-the-hook slide up the hook towards the tip 3.  Slide that loop-on-the-hook over the hooked bar of string  and off into the air Above.  Chain One complete, you have a new loop-on-the-hook Congratulations.  You have performed your first chain stitch.  Chain one is complete. CHAIN TWO 1.  Repeat the steps of Chain one in exactly the same manner.  You will have a new loop

THE CROCHET STARTING CHAIN and GAP MATHS

0 can mean nothing, void, zero, a gap, empty space. Yet 0 is not nothing. It is something. In fact it is 99.9% of everything. 0 is pretty much the same as infinity. To understand the difference between conventional maths and quantum maths as  I understand it, you need to grasp that Nothing is pretty much the same as Infinity. THE STARTING CHAIN The starting chain is a chain of interlinked gaps highlighted to us by string. We tend to see the string as the main thing, but I believe that that is the very reason why conventional mathematics does not agree with quantum mathematics. The GAPS are the main thing, NOT the string! Try to see that way.   I am not a mathematician, but I have met and spent many hours talking and walking with a quantum mathematician and astrophysicist, who confirmed my findings, and were amazed that I understood the things I did all from crocheting Möbius twists. THE HOOK Crochet hooks come in different sizes, typically 1mm, up to 8mm.  I recommend a 5mm hook.  The

TOPOLOGICAL FIGURES, COOK-MÖBIUS CROCHET AND NOBLE SHAPES

Cook-Mobius Crochet Method CHAPTER TWO Some photos of real topological figures Seamed Möbius twist on two sides of  a square, the seam is in green and NOT part of the edge Three views /stages of one Cook Twist on all four sides of a square, no seam  YOU HAVE MADE THE BODY OF WORK IN MY PREVIOUS POST, LEARN ABOUT QUANTUM PHYSICS THROUGH CROCHET, it is a paper Möbius strip grown on to row 1, complete. The paper strip is equivalent to the crochet Starting Chain, the first layer of safety pins is equivalent to Row 0 of Stitch, and the second layer of pins is equivalent to Row 1 of Stitch. TOPOLOGICAL FIGURES, COOK-MÖBIUS CROCHET AND NOBLE SHAPES  After the beginners' crochet chapters, the bodies-of-work we make will be crocheted Möbius twists/Möbius Rings, and later on Cook Twists/Cook Rings. They will be actual manipulable topological symmetrical figures. You can stretch them and pull them about, but they will remain essentially the same.*** As you grow them on Row by Row, they will g

Learn About Quantum Physics Through Crochet

Image
Cook-Mobius Crochet Method LEARN ABOUT QUANTUM PHYSICS THROUGH COOK-MÖBIUS CROCHET INTRODUCTION THE MOBICORIKON is a How To manual.  It will guide you to understanding quantum physics through crocheting Mobius twists and other topological objects.  It also includes instructions on how to crochet for the total beginner. THE MÖBICORIKON  The Möbicorikon is a map and if you follow it you will gain an innate sense of the quantum world. Be prepared to be utterly flummoxed, enlightened despite your biases and to laugh out loud a lot. It is not hard and equally it is not easy. I cannot stress enough that this is a journey that can only be travelled by Doing! If you do not actually make the bodies-of-work herein, then you are not on the journey and you will learn little. The Möbicorikon uses string as its guide, and crochet is its method of choice. It will teach you beginner's crochet as well as Cook-Möbius quantum crochet.  You will craft, from scratch,  objects that are symmetrical in
